In 2010, Dr. Marc Philippon assisted The University of North Carolina Women’s Soccer Team. He performed a hip labrum surgery on midfielder Maria Lubrano. After already undergoing a previous surgery, Lubrano was hesitant at Dr. Philippon’s request to perform surgery on her labrum, which was completely torn. Once the surgery was over Lubrano was in pain, but now after her recovery she is able to play pain free.
